Accounts Assistant
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: 22,000 - 24,000

This is a superb opportunity to join a leading group of Chartered Accountants based in Gloucestershire. The role will involve working independently for a wide range of businesses including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing accounts and tax computations
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and ad hoc client assignments
A requirement to travel to the work as and when it is deemed necessary
Preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts to draft stage from clients own records
Liaising with clients.
Assisting the teams Managers and Partners

Skills and Qualifications:

AAT Qualified is desired, however candidates qualified through experience will also be looked at
Good team working and communication skills
Excellent problem solving.
Excellent time management and organisation skills.
IT literacy with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word as well as Sage Line 50 or Quickbooks.
