Personal Injury Negotiators are required to be part of a dedicated and successful Claims Department within a leading insurance organisation. Our client is looking for Junior and Senior Personal Injury Claims Handlers to handle an allocation of Personal Injury Claims to the Company advantage whilst at the same time providing customers with a quality service.

Responsibilities:
To provide customers with a quality service in line with the departmental plan
To handle allocated claims in accordance with department procedure, policy cover and legal liability
To settle allocated claims
To apply appropriate investigation to each new claim
To limit claims spend by only paying claims having established a legal liability
Making an early admission of liability (if appropriate)
Adhering to the requirements and time constraints of the Pre-Action Protocol and the Civil Procedure Rules
Managing an allocation of 'technical files' within pre determined Company guidelines

We have an excellent opportunity for a Personal Injury Negotiator to join an In-house Insurance team for a leading travel provider. The successful candidate will deal with all customer litigation including, but not limited to, "fast-track" and "small claims", injury and quality claims, with the aim of minimising expense and loss whilst providing an excellent service.
You will have experience of handling a variety of litigated contractual breach and fast track personal injury claims, so as to minimise associated exposure and loss while providing excellent service to internal and external customers
Responsibilities:

Ensuring that you are always fully up to date with current court process and the Civil Procedure Rules

Manage a Caseload of litigated fast track personal injury claims; assessing quantum, gathering evidence in support of the defence, complying with all court orders, instructing Counsel to present the case on behalf of the company
Dealing with litigated contractual breach claims; investigating the allegations and assessing the liability of the company arising from the claim; negotiating settlement where commercially beneficial; entering a defence to the claim; gathering evidence for presentation at court or within the arbitration proceedings; complying with all court orders.
Providing pre-litigation advice to other members of the Consumer Legal Services team on the prospects of successfully defending a claim should the matter proceed to trial
Skills:
Ability to use initiative and take full ownership of decisions on quantum and liability.
Ability to use a range of systems including case management software
Good business letter writing skills
Ability to understand and apply statute and case law
Experience of handling small claims or fast track litigation
