Legal Executive Fraud

We have a fantastic opportunity for Legal Executives with a background in Personal Injury Claims who have an interest in dealing with fraudulent Motor Personal Injury claims. Our client is looking to expand their existing team by adding a legal executive with a genuine interest in this area of Insurance law.

The successful candidate will run a caseload independently consisting of pre- and post-litigated files, involving suspected fraudulent motor insurance claims including low impact velocity claims, contrived/staged/induced accidents, theft, exaggerated claims and those involving bogus passengers.

You must have experience in Personal Injury and be fully conversant with CPR and be able to run your own caseload from start to finish. An eye for detail us required and the ability to make rapid decisions and judgments. Previous experience of the insurance industry and use of a case management system are required.

We are looking for a team player with excellent IT and analytical skills and an enthusiasm for this area of work. An ability to work under pressure, keep to deadlines and prioritise your own caseload is essential.

Customer Litigation Executive
Location: Luton
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000

We have an excellent opportunity for a Personal Injury Negotiator to join an In-house Insurance team for a leading travel provider. The successful candidate will deal with all customer litigation including, but not limited to, "fast-track" and "small claims", injury and quality claims, with the aim of minimising expense and loss whilst providing an excellent service.

You will have experience of handling a variety of litigated contractual breach and fast track personal injury claims, so as to minimise associated exposure and loss while providing excellent service to internal and external customers

Responsibilities:

To engage with your colleagues and managers to ensure that the office remains a vibrant and pleasurable environment in which to work
Be pro-active about your own development engaging into any training process provided
Ensuring that you are always fully up to date with current court process and the Civil Procedure Rules
Liaise with a range of both internal and external customer issues in an effective, calm and diplomatic manner
Dealing fairly and transparently with, and communicating in clear and concise language to, litigants in person and solicitors
Manage a Caseload of litigated fast track personal injury claims; assessing quantum, gathering evidence in support of the defence, complying with all court orders, instructing Counsel to present the case on behalf of the company
Dealing with litigated contractual breach claims; investigating the allegations and assessing the liability of the company arising from the claim; negotiating settlement where commercially beneficial; entering a defence to the claim; gathering evidence for presentation at court or within the arbitration proceedings; complying with all court orders.
Providing pre-litigation advice to other members of the Consumer Legal Services team on the prospects of successfully defending a claim should the matter proceed to trial

Skills:

Ability to use initiative and take full ownership of decisions on quantum and liability.
Ability to use a range of systems including case management software
Good business letter writing skills

Assistant Litigation Executive - Personal Injury

Your role will be to litigate a significant proportion of personal injury cases in order to obtain appropriate compensation for clients. To contribute to the department's revenue targets and to develop legal skills in order to progress to further roles within the department.

Capable of successfully handling a mixed caseload of liability and quantum disputes both pre and post issue
Able to litigate up to 40% of caseload successfully
Confident in undertaking Court hearings and to be competent in core legal skills including drafting, negotiation and advocacy
In the region of 200 straightforward cases
Mixed caseload of fast track and multi track work with a limited number of non RTA matters
A varied caseload of liability and quantum disputes

Assistant Solicitor / FILEX
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

The successful candidate will be responsible for running their own caseload as well as assisting one of the Partners on their high value claimant and defendant work including Motor and EL / PL Personal Injury, Industrial Disease, Health and Safety Prosecutions, Product Liability, Property Damage including fire/flood.

Applicants must have prior experience of multi-track and high value claims and although experience of all the above areas is desirable, a specialism in one of them and an interest in the others is essential.

This is a new position, reporting to a Partner and will also enjoy a supervisory element with a team of initially 1 or 2 staff to manage so experience in supervision will also be needed. An aptitude for team work and excellent IT and analytical skills are essential for this role. An ability to work under pressure, keep to deadlines and be able to prioritise your own caseload is also essential.

Assistant Solicitor/Legal Executive - (Minimum of 2 years PQE)

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting a senior lawyer run a caseload of Motor and EL/PL Personal Injury claims. You will also be responsible for running your own small caseload of around 10 cases at a time.

Applicants must have prior experience of multi-track and fast-track claims and experience of Motor and EL/PL Personal Injury claims is essential
Prior litigation experience with a minimum of a 50/50 split. Whilst previous defendant experience is desirable, it is not essential
