Commercial Solicitor
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £70,000

This is an exciting opportunity to work on behalf of this legal 500 practice with some of the top industry and public sector organisations. You will be working within our clients Commercial Services team dealing with a variety of UK and Global Clients.

Responsibilities:

Your general workload includes general commercial agreements, software development and licensing, intellectual property matters, telecoms contracts, compliance and general regulatory work, product and services supply agreements, data protection compliance advice nationally, within the EU and on a global basis, IT and business process outsourcing in the UK and worldwide
International and cross-border work has been a feature of the team's practice
You will handle a varied workload in accordance with client requirements and with an appropriate level of supervision
You will act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.

Skills:

Ideally you will have post qualification experience
You will have good project management skills and be prepared to assist with supervision and coaching of junior members of the team
You will have excellent relationship and client handling skills and therefore the ability to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues is necessary
Possess a robust personality who enjoys working for challenging clients
The ability to adopt a commercial perspective rather than an 'academic' approach to legal issues is necessary in order to succeed within this role

Product and Pricing Underwriter
Salary: £20,000 - £30,000
Location: Gloucester

A successful and expanding organisation are looking to recruit a Product and Pricing underwriter. To assist with the completion of account management reviews, pricing reviews and product development, in relation to all existing Commercial products and any new products, in order to ensure profitable growth of the Commercial account.

Responsibilities:

Identification and collation of internal and external data required in order for the Pricing team to complete technical pricing reviews for all the Commercial rating structures
Assist with completion of analysis of data to ensure balance of technical rating is correct and put forward observations and recommendations to the Pricing and Product Controller and Senior Product and Pricing Underwriter
Assisting with the completion of annual product pricing and resulting changes and ensure correct and timely details are passed to the Systems team for change
Undertake regular product comparisons through market research and regular collation of available information with a view to submitting recommendations for any changes or new developments to the Commercial Product and Pricing Controller and/or Senior Pricing and Product Underwriter
Assist in product development, for existing products, new products and schemes, including policy wording, extent of cover, appropriate technical pricing and any technical underwriting guides produced

Skills:

Needs to be a skilled technician with in-depth knowledge of Commercial Property and Liability business
Good understanding of technical pricing structures and detailed account management data and be able to implement new rating structures
Able to draft policy wordings and collate all areas of information required for enhancing existing covers and wordings, as well as developing new ratings structures
Computer Literate

Commercial Underwriter

Responsibilities:

Support the profitable growth of the commercial classes of business
