Your role will be to develop profitable business, in line with company objectives and strategy which maximise sales from both existing and new customers whilst maintaining account profitability.
You well be expected to manage and develop a panel of brokerages across the region.
Responsibilities:
To deliver the agreed GWP targets across the product range, manage and develop existing and new intermediary relationships in order to maximise opportunity
Contribute to loss ratio objectives to ensure continued profitability of the area
To build and maintain relationships at Director / Senior Management level
Follow agreed guidelines across the product range to assist underwriters in ensuring required profitability margins are met
Understand of the differing acquisition costs within the business and pre vet non-standard enquiries
Build internal relationships with internal underwriting staff to maintain support when developing new and existing business
Provide training to broker staff as required
Provide market feedback and information for monthly reporting and otherwise as required
Skills:
Experience of working within the Commercial Insurance Industry within a Broker Development role
Effective communicator at all levels both verbally and in writing, able to present, persuade and influence others with well developed negotiation skills
