    Our client is one of the leading brands within the Insurance market and currently has an opening within their Casualty Team in Leeds for a Claims Adjuster. As the Casualty Claims Adjuster you will be responsible for examining, evaluating and processing a caseload of Casualty Claims through to conclusion, and ensuring a high level of service is provided to brokers and clients.


    Responsibilities


    Processing personal injury, property and disease claims via the company's mainframe systems
    Effectively manage a caseload of Claims files prioritising new and existing work appropriately
    Investigate and resolve claims in a professional and pro-active manner in order to provide excellent claims handling service
    Providing superb service, combined with claims excellence and minimal leakage
    Compliance with both Statutory and Corporate service standards
    Producing reports on existing and new claims
    Ad-hoc reporting for the underwriters and loss adjusters


    Skills


    Experience within the Insurance or legal industry with a broad experience within Claims
    Strong working knowledge of Employers and Public Liability Claims
    An understanding of disease claims would be beneficial
    Excellent communication and negotiation skills

    Provide administrative cover for filers when required during period of holiday/sickness absence.
    Maintaining an up to date situation on client information portals
    Meeting service level compliance within area of responsibility

    Responsibilities


    To coach, train and mentor team members with consideration to succession planning

    Conduct monthly staff 1-2-1's, mid year reviews and end of year performance reviews
