Domestic and Commercial Claims Handler
Salary: £18,000 - £19,000
Location: Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Domestic or Commercial Property Claims handlers to join one of the Insurance Markets leading organisations within their Commercial and Domestic Claims team. Working alongside Loss Adjusters, you will be overseeing each claim to the best possible resolution for both the client and company.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a skill set in both Domestic and Commercial claims as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Handle a caseload of Commercial and Domestic Claims from inception through to settlement
Work alongside loss adjusters on complex claims
Preparing and writing reports on claims
Attending insurer visits
Processing payment reports

Skills

A sound knowledge of either Household or Commercial Property claims
Experience in Household and/or Commercial Claims environment would be beneficial
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Organised and able to prioritise workloads

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensures all allocated claims within own levels of authority are handled to the required standards and in accordance with Client Service Level Agreements
Effective and accurate communication both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers

Diary to be consistently used and kept up to date as required
Provide training, either by mentoring or formally to less experienced colleagues
Attend appropriate training sessions as required
Responsible for the completion all other allocated tasks from time to time as required

Working in one of the countries leading Accountancy Practices this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Insolvency Administrator to develop a career with one of the industries most well respected firms.

Responsibilities:

Perform work in accordance with statutory procedures
Ensure all areas of the work are completed with any exceptions to this being agreed with the Manager
Maintain IP Form of record for each estate
Understand and appreciate key commercial aspects of the insolvent company's business
Provide regular progress reports to the manager, including preparation of six monthly case reviews
Identify and discuss with manager issues / problems and agree and complete appropriate actions
Ensure deadlines are met
Be able to work on several different assignments at one time
