Personal Injury Lawyer
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Injury Lawyer to make their mark within a well established practice that prides itself on the quality of work tendered.
You will be pursuing predominantly claimant multi-track and catastrophic injury cases.

The case load will be made up of serious injury cases that will be managed through to trial where appropriate.

Our client requires someone with extensive experience of managing complex personal injury claims.

Team management experience would be an advantage.

My client is looking for an Associate Director to join their Legal and Compliance Team in their thriving London office. You will be at the top flight of one of Practice Accountancies leading firms and play a pivotal role in the monitoring of and Compliance with Industry Regulations

Responsibilities:

Design and maintain risk based monitoring programmes, taking account of industry and regulatory developments (COBS/COLL/CASS/SYSC)
Deliver appropriate and timely monitoring and reporting Identify, document and propose resolutions to breaches
Conduct analysis of existing controls for effectiveness and suggest improvements where weaknesses are found
Train, direct, manage and assess two teams of monitoring staff Management reporting, financial promotions, anti money laundering

Skills:

Close knowledge of the FSA Handbook, particularly of COBS, COLL, CASS and SYSC

Responsibilities:

A nationally renowned, Specialist Liability practice currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Liability Loss Adjuster to join their leading organisation. Your role will be to provide a thorough and professional liability investigation into each claim in line with corporate and client objectives

You will be acting on behalf of Insurers and local authorities working a portfolio of Public Liability and Employers liability claims.

Responsibilities:

Investigate claims to their fullest within your delegated authority limits
Keep the client fully up to date in accordance with Risk Handling Procedures
In the event of proceedings you will be responsible for preparing the case for Trial and Instruct Solicitors while monitoring the case
Instruct engineers/medical experts as required
Negotiate settlement where appropriate

Interviewing and obtaining detailed statements from witnesses and other informative sources:

Obtaining Photographic evidence
Obtaining measurements and plans where necessary
Obtaining disclosed documentation

Skills:

An understanding of Personal Injury, Public Liability and Employers Liability Claims

Report writing on findings

Skills:

You will be self-motivated and confident in your own ability to work independently and ideally be ACII or ACILA qualified however, this is not essential
Experience of Liability Adjusting as you will be working with complete autonomy
You will competent with being home based with the support of a local office
Possess good Liability technical knowledge
Good communication skills both written and oral
