A mutual society has an exciting opportunity in their Insurance arm as a Commercial Account Handler. You will be the primary point of both face to face and telephone customer contact in the branch and responsible for customer service and sales, providing a friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service to ensure customer retention and to expand our customer base
Responsibilities
Promotion and sale of the companies products and services to new and existing customers
Understand and identify needs of customers by building relationships and matching insurance policies to satisfy customer needs
Cross-sell appropriate products
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, codes of practice and internal procedures
Use any special authority provided by Underwriters effectively to improve competitiveness and maintain product suitability
Implement changes to the insurance program in accordance with client instructions
Communicate effectively and provide positive assistance to customers at all times in every aspect of sales, service and claims, always representing the company with a positive and professional image
Maintain awareness of current and new products and monitor market trends and changes
Deal with customer complaints effectively
Working as part of a team, providing support to colleagues
Prepare market presentations and obtain market terms as appropriate
Retain existing clients, re-broking where necessary
Provide claims advice, verify claims information and submit to insurers as appropriate
Obtain client instructions and ensure business is placed with insurers as required
