Skills:

The successful candidate should ideally have some basic building knowledge

Senior Buildings Technician
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000
Location: Taunton

This senior and pivotal role has arisen within our client's technical team.
You will be preparing reports and offering technical advice to internal and external customers of our client, a leading service provider to the insurance and related markets, managing a national network of building contractors and surveyor networks across the UK

Responsibilities

Cost, claim and scope validation of reports and estimates submitted by our panel of contractors
Preparation of estimates using MS Excel
Close liaison with network contractors including supervision of contractor workshops for new and existing contractors
On site and desktop audits of works undertaken by network contractors
Site visits where appropriate to monitor and troubleshoot work in progress issues
Liaison with clients, policyholders, contractors, surveyors and colleagues in relation to technical and buildings related queries
Review of Surveyors validation reports on building damage claims and negotiation of buildings related claims with policyholders

Skills

The successful candidate will be literate and numerate with basic IT skills and knowledge of MS Excel
You should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of building knowledge. An understanding of the insurance market would also be useful
You should be a good team player, self motivated with the flexibility to work shifts

Technical Commercial Training Officer
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: Circa £26,000

Assist the Commercial Technical Training Specialist in ensuring adequate training facilities and programmes are developed and made available to the technical and support staff of the Commercial department in order that the department may achieve its corporate objectives.

To carry out technical and where suitable 'soft' skills training in support of the training need.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Commercial Technical Training Specialist in identifying the training needs of individuals in the department
Produce training solutions and development programmes for the department, and for staff in other areas in support of Commercial
Co-ordination of the training programmes for the department and ensuring that they are updated and undertaken effectively
Undertake technical training in support of development programmes in liaison with other senior Commercial staff and the Commercial Technical Training Specialist

Skills:
