    We have a very exciting position available for a full-time solicitor to work in our clients Salisbury office, heading up the firm's 3 office property team and conducting a caseload of commercial property along with lease extension, enfranchisement and right to manage cases - for both freeholders and tenants. You should class yourself as an Extension Specialist in Extensions of Leases for tenants of residential flats [with leases originally granted for at least 21 years] can force their landlord to extend the lease on their own flats but up to 90 years.

    Skills

    The successful candidate will have a minimum 4 years PQE, have extensive experience of lease extension work - the lease extension caseload, along with supervising and assisting a legal assistant with our own, lease extension caseload, probably amounts to approximately 50% of the current workload. We anticipate a considerable growth in our lease extension work in the next 3 years and the successful candidate must be enthusiastic about being a part of that growth, be an enthusiastic team player, with great people skills, be someone who is keen to work with our highly pro-active marketing team in growing the firm's property workload - particularly in respect of lease extension and commercial property work. You should have your own transportation for client visits and for visiting the 3 offices as Head of Property.

You should be an experienced legal secretary who has worked with Commercial and Immigration caseloads, who could hit the ground running supporting a small team of fee earners; while also being able to act on your own initiative.

    Responsibilities


    You will be providing 1-1 support to Partners and 2 other Fee Earners, ensuring all documents and e-mail correspondence are filed in their electronic document management system and paper files are accurately maintained
    Audio and copy typing of memos, correspondence, legal documentation and to a high standard of accuracy, within deadlines. Handling telephone enquiries in a professional and polite manner, taking accurate messages and following up on agreed action


    Skills


    Experience as a Legal Secretary within a Property team will be important due to the high level of documentation that will be expected at Companies House.
    Good Time Management skills and Organisational skills will be taken into consideration. Proficient in Word 2003, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel. Filesite, 3E, Contact Manager and Digital Dictation are desirable.
    Digital dictation (audio typing)
    Creating/amending documents ranging from 2 pages to 100 pages. For example, precedent documents, deeds packs, deeds, letters etc.
    Creating mail merge documentation
    Dealing with a range of client specific billing requirements and generating a large number of bills on a monthly basis
