  • Commercial Claims Handler

    Salary: £32000 per Annum Contract: Permanent

    Senior Commercial Claims Technician
    Salary: £22,000 - £32,000
    Location: Gloucester


    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Claims Handler to manage a small portfolio of claims of a higher value / technical nature. Your role will be to handle and analyse complaints whilst training and developing staff on all Commercial Insurance products.


    Responsibilities:


    Act as an escalation point for the team
    Coaching team members to enable them to reach their full potential
    Handle a small allocation of claims of a higher value/ technical/ sensitive nature
    Manage the quality auditing of commercial claims
    Provide team leaders with regular feedback on the performance of the team
    Provide technical and job related support to team members ensuring company standards
    Assist with team meetings to discuss and review best practice
    Deal with complaints including the subsequent analysis and actions
    Provide a focus on counter fraud claims handling
    Maintain and develop the department training materials / training plan
    Assist in projects as and when required


    Skills:


    Theoretical insurance /legal knowledge
    Training and coaching qualifications
    An extensive Working knowledge of a commercial claims environment
    Full understanding of industry & market agreements
    Full understanding of the key drivers of claims cost containment and service provision
    An understanding of analysing and interpreting Management Information data
    A proven record of problem solving and decision making
    Excellent verbal skills
